Recently, bird feeding has become a very famous hobby in America. People love to watch different kind of birds roaming around their garden, playing and bathing in the bird baths which they have installed for the birds. In order to attract birds, bird lover install various types of accessories in their garden. This hobby has become so famous that now people not only to attract birds but they have also installed various other feeders to attract other animals as well. Butterflies are the most beautiful creature with bright colored wings and they look stunning roaming around in your garden. Butterflies have become so popular that now there are many butterfly parks all around the work where these butterflies are left to move round according to their wishes. Butterflies generally prefer to live in dense forests and untouched places because it provides them safety. Many people try to attract these butterflies by placing butterfly houses in the back yard. These butterfly houses are not very helpful because butterflies prefer natural habitat over these houses but there is no harm in placing these butterfly houses in your garden. They will only add the beauty of your garden. A better way to attract butterflies is through butterfly feeders. A butterfly feeder can have flower nectar, rotten banana, off ripped peaches or apples etc. You can also place home made nectar in your butterfly feeders. While placing a bird feeder in your garden make sure it is not close to the window because other insects like bees etc. are also attracted towards these butterfly feeders.
Apart from butterfly feeders, many people install squirrel feeder in their garden as well. There can be any of the two reasons to place it in the garden. Either you love these fluffy animals or you are tired of chasing them away from your bird feeder. Squirrels might look like cute and innocent animals but they can be very daring and annoying. Some people love to feed the squirrels and lace squirrel feeder in their garden to enjoy the playful activities of these animals. They also make squirrel houses. While make a squirrel feeder or a squirrel house, it is advised not to make it of wood. Squirrels are rodents and the chew away the wood of squirrel feeders in order to keep their teeth from becoming hard.
Some people have squirrel feeders to keep them away from the bird feeders. These people are not very fond of squirrels because the squirrels eat away the food of birds. Squirrels have a habit of obtaining easy food and the bird feeders the garden are their main target. No matter what you do to keep them away from the bird feeders, they will find a way to steal the food from the bird feeder. The best way to keep them away is to place a squirrel feeder for them in the garden. Make sure to place it away from the bird feeder and at a place where it is easily accessed by the squirrels so that they get their food from squirrel feeder rather than attacking bird feeder.
Whether it’s a butterfly, squirrel or any other bird feeder in your garden, make sure that it is cleaned regularly. Hygiene is an important factor which should be kept in mind so that you provide your birds and other animals a clean and safe place in your garden.
